One Crispy Giant [Intro/Solo Mission]

Mission Details:

The very ground felt like it was ready to crumble beneath everyone's feet as they ran from the rampaging giant. Screams of terror and discord rang throughout the settlement as the giant let's out a mighty war cry. The sound was deep that reverberated the earth as structures fell into large plumes of dust. Wielding a mighty club, bigger than any human, the giant sought to knock down the buildings within the settlement and even go as far as crushing anyone who dared to be within its vicinity.

Frankly Akeno had never seen a giant before, she thought they were all myths and legends. Yet here was one right in the middle of a small village. Even so, the air grew hotter with intense heat as a ball of fire sailed over the crumbling houses. The ball blindsided the giant as fiery slammed against the giant’s head that erupted into a fiery explosion that covered the giant’s body into flame. By the end of it, the giant held fresh burnt flesh where the ball landed, and what clothing the giant had was now smoldering with smoke. Anger flashed in the large humanoid’s eyes as he turned with a menacing snarl. In the distance, roughly 80 meters away outside of the village’s perimeters. There stood a lone kunoichi with dark hair that cascaded down to her upper back like a river of darkness.

Akeno was a bit surprised as she now got the attention of the now enraged giant. Her golden eyes linger on the giant who bellowed out a roar that would surely be deafening had Akeno been closer.

”Well, I meant to strike his back, but he keeps thrashing about like a toddler who was told no at some candy store.” Akeno muttered to herself before her expression broke into a grin as she waved at the giant. Even jumping a bit before she mockingly calls out to him.

”Come on then you big baby! I got another serving of fire just for you, fresh from the oven!” Of course, the giant didn’t take the taunting too kindly as he immediately charged towards her. The giant even went as far as throwing the large club at her that warranted the need to move. Luckily for Akeno, she was quick on her feet as she dashed to the side in order to evade the thrown club. Frankly Akeno didn’t have much time left so she hurried up with the three handseals as the giant continued to run towards her. Akeno of course went the other direction to keep the distance at a safe 30 meters from the giant.

The giant, frustrated that he was being led to what seemed to be nowhere, realized all too late before a large pool of lava erupted underneath the giant’s running feet. The sheer pain as the lava incinerated the flesh leaving only a stump as the giant tripped and fell onto the ground. Yet with a gesture of her hand, tendrils of lava poured out of the pool as they latched onto the giant. Smoke of burnt flesh rose upon contact as the giant frantically thrashed to pull away. Instead the tendrils pulled the giant into the pool as the giant let out many screams of agony that was only silenced when the head went under the lava’s surface. When it was all said and done, all there was left of the giant really was the spitting pools of lava that swallowed up the giant.

”There we go. No more giant, and that means I can go home.” Granted the village would need time to recover and muster the resources to rebuild what has been destroyed. Unfortunate as it was, Akeno decided to turn on her heels and proceeded to make her way back to Iwagakure.
