Unless stated otherwise, all topics are considered
In Real Time (IRT). All players have a set number of IRT threads. They are almost always a player's most recent threads. Out of a players IRT or Active Threads, only one is allowed to be a
serious thread. This refers to anything of major consequence. Refer to the list below on regarding if your thread is a
serious thread. The rest of a player's active threads, can range from NPC missions, training, crafting or simply just socials. For all IRT threads, players can claim EXP per post.
Qualifications on a Serious Thread1.) War System: Interacting with war NPC, machinery, ships, etc. This also includes invasions, such as being in locations you shouldn't have access to like invading a base or dwelling.
2.) Hunting: Any topic that involves the hunting rules.
3.) PC Missions: Any mission that is considered PC and not the repeatable NPC missions. If your PC mission includes War or Hunting, it is considered those instead.
4.) Political Interactions: These can be diplomatic negotiations or intimidation threads. To be considered political, a thread must involve a PC who is representing an organization (This can go from Jounin ambassadors, Kage, or misc. organization leaders.)
Notes on Serious Threads:- If a player is in a serious thread, they cannot start another one.
- If you want to have one kind of serious thread with a player and that player is already in a serious thread of that kind, you must join the existing thread.
- If a player is in a serious thread and another player starts a serious thread of another kind involving the first, the thread that takes precedence is the one ranked higher in the list of importance.
A player is only allowed to be in Five (5) Active IRT threads. All players can have limitless Flashback threads. Below, you can find a chart to find out how much XP you will get based on the thread. Each post rewards its own value of EXP. The only way to gain additional experience is via mission, or some other outside means.

Note: The max any player could earn per post, is 50 XP. In the event a player suffers a near death experience, the player gains 50 XP. a near-death experience, which is defined as: "an unusual experience taking place on the brink of death...". These experiences must take place at the hands of another Player Character with the opportunity and means to terminate your character. For whatever reason, he/she decided to spare you, and you have grown because of it.
Flashback Topics are exactly what they sound like, topics which take place at any time in the past. Generally, a character in a flashback is considered to know what they would have at the time; if your character learns a technique IRT and initiates a Flashback Topic that happened before they learned that technique, they will, then, be unable to perform that technique. Additionally, damage sustained by a character in a flashback topic that is not also present in IRT topics must be recovered in some way prior to reaching the IRT point at which the damage was not present. For this reason, death in flashbacks is generally impossible, and if it does occur, will need to be reversed so that the continuity remains intact. Also, if your character learns a technique or gains an ability that they were specifically noted to not have in an IRT topic, there will need to be an explanation for why they were noted to not have it, such as temporary amnesia, etc.
Note: You cannot gain renown at all in a flashback topic
