He tends to wear black and he has green eyes with shoulder length black hair, and a jaw beard. Upon his back and down his arms and even on part of his chest rests an intricate tattoo of a bird of prey. Sorethin walks with a confident gait to his step and can always been seen with a ready grin and is readily available for a quiet conversation or a rough spar in a training field.
History: Sorethin Senju was always within the land of water, was born there to a Senju woman who simply wanted to move somewhere remote and live in quiet solitude. Arianne Senju is a beautiful woman, with dark hair and green eyes that are the same shade as Sorethins. Although, one should probably say his are the same shade as hers. She moved to land of water before the formation of the villages, obviously, and lived there in relative quiet solitude before falling in love with Tengetsu Hozuki. When Sorethin was born he was Senju however. Although this didn't bother his father, who loved his family regardless.
Sorethin was raised well, with a firm, yet gentle hand. He began training at an early age in order to be able to defend himself and his family in a cruel world. Especially due to the warfare between the Inazuma and the Hozuki Clans. It lasted from when Sorethin was only four years old, to when he was eleven. Everyday they lived in fear of seeing Inazuma ships upon the horizon and being attacked. Raids came at times, pirates and brigands that either openly worked for the Inazuma, or were simply bought and paid to do so by them. This required Sorethin to become at least somewhat competent quickly.
He unlocked the Wood Release of his heritage early on and began to train within their techniques. At first it was to help hide them in what foliage lay upon the islands. However as he grew stronger he began to be able to fight with his father and mother to help protect them. As he fought he grew even more powerful, the crucible of combat honing his capabilities to a fine edge. As he progressed in strength he also grew physically, becoming tall and broad as most male Senju tended to be upon growing. He grew tall early on, almost matching his mother in height by the time the war between the Hozuki and Inazuma ended. Then he was free to roam the islands. Exploring and growing to learn the environment. Now he was home only every few days to spend time with his mother and father as he fully embraced his adventurous attitude.
One day on a little island off the coat of the archipelago that made up the Land of Water, an island too small to show on the map. He came across a strange cave. As he began to explore, he discovered snakes of various size and colorings. Coiled around the cave and resting or watching him with snakelike eyes. He looked at them, unafraid, and keeping a respectful distance as he moved. He delved deeper into the cave before coming across a large white snake. It looked upon him with dead eyes, the rustling noise of scales rubbing against one another filling the chamber. Before, to Sorethin's surprise, it spoke to him. They chatted for a while, amiably, and he was invited to return if he so desired. He left, taking a moment to meet each snake in turn as he left. Introducing himself and getting their names at the very least.
He did indeed return, two days later, he moved back into the cave, chatting amiably once more with the snakes that now recognized him. Before moving to the great white snake and chatting with him some more. They spoke of random topics, of Sorethin's exploration of the islands, of what he knew of the world. Which admittedly wasn't much. Of his family and his desire to protect them. It was at the end of this conversation that the great white snake offered a scroll. He told him to sign it in blood if he desired and he would be able to summon the snakes to aid him in defending his family. He signed, excitedly and with that a new snake summoner was brought into the world for the first time in generations.
He trained with them as well as with his mother now. His father helped where he could but he did have to provide for them and Sorethin wasn't able to use Tengetsu's clan jutsu regardless. He became stronger at an even faster pace now. He summoned the snakes to meet his parents, introducing them to each other and it became quite normal for one of two to be coiled about him, chatting with him, helping him to learn what he didn't know of the world. At least giving him a basic understanding of things. They were old creatures after all and had learned much. He practiced with fighting with the snakes, practiced with his wood release techniques. He trained his body, his mental fortitude, when eventually the great white snake gave him an offer. At this point, Sorethin was sixteen, he had shot up in height in build like a weed and now he towered over both his mother and father. He discovered he had no need to eat or drink any longer and injuries seemed to close up immediately. Now, he stood before the great snake as it offered him even more power to protect those he loved.
Sage training was difficult, and time consuming. However he persevered. He practiced with staying perfectly still for days before getting the hang of it. Then he had to learn how to properly mix the chakra's. This process took even longer, it was a year before he finally got the trick of it. Snakes however are patient creatures and they gave him no trouble as he trained. Eventually he became the Snake Sage, and his power jumped even more. Once he had learned this he spoke to the great snake about him working with the Hozuki Clan, to help protect the Land of Water as a whole, and the snake readily accepted this. So Sorethin went, and over the years fought for the Land of Water, gaining in strength and power. Eventually the village of Kirigakure would be formed. Upon it's formation he joined and was instated as a Jounin for his personal power and efforts to keep their borders safe.
Personality: Sorethin is a boisterous man with passion and patience in equal measure. He loved a good fight and a nice relaxing day, able to find appreciation in both. He can also be stubborn, headstrong, and belligerent. However he's also loyal and a fierce combatant for those he's sworn to protect. His family is his life and he considers all of Kirigakure his family. He's able to spend the odd day meditating in calm reflection. As well as spend it fighting until he can't walk in training.
Sorethin loves good food and good alcohol despite it being difficult to get him drunk in the first place and him having no requirement for food whatsoever. He'd a man who immediately takes control of the room due to his personality. Not in a bad way, but his genuinely friendly attitude, loud voice and greetings tend to take all attention and put it squarely on him. A fact he doesn't seem to notice. It takes a great deal to make him angry however when it does occur it isn't a loud or unfocused rage. It's focused, and cold, like that of a snake watching it's prey and evaluating it.
Sorethin tends to be able to get along with everyone and for the most part simply wants to protect him home and have fun. While guiding the next generation as much as required to see them through.
