History: Coming from an off-branch of the Yuki Clan, the martial approach that most clanmembers are introduced to was tamed for Mari. She was still trained in the ways of Yuki techniques and treated like a warrior, but due to less expectations weighing on them, they weren't as ambitious. It was by this mistake that Mari's father had lightheartedly made a joke about the main branch's leader, a move that swiftly led to his execution. An event that no child should have seen, her mother ran away with Mari to a new village, that village being Konohagakure.
The mother's passion for looking after Mari was there, but dissipated over time as time went on. She still looked after Mari, but the cheery attitude that she had to keep Mari going was non-existent at this point, leading to a quiet and empty-feeling household, with Mari's early training into martial prowess, it led to an easy way for her to excel as a shinobi, graduating with flying colours.
She had performed exceptional as a Genin over the years, but the reason she hadn't been promoted to Chuunin is the weight of her father's death and the sadness of her mother still looming over her to this day. The top brass consider her physically ready to be a Chuunin, but not mentally.
Personality: She was once shy, but this trait had dimmed down over the years as she dealt with the reality of her situation. She is introverted and very much likes spending time to herself, but she is by no means shy anymore. She is very capable of holding a conversation and even starting one if need be, but holds more pleasure to be by herself than to socialise with others.
She is usually in deep thought most of the time and to this extent, is very much capable of making critical decisions or being patient but with no one to guide her on how she excels, she lacks confidence in her decision making and tends to second-guess herself a lot, even if her decision was the right one. If a meeting occurred, she tends to let others go with their ideas as she finds it easier to ride on the ideas of others before forming out her own.
Her baggy eyes and unfazed smile usually leads one to think she's sad all the time but in truth, not a lot fazes her anymore and her happy moments in life are far and few, because she lost her father and her mother lost her will to live over time, what Mari desires more than anything is a family one day, to make it work better than how her family turned out.
An escape for her are usually animals, loving all kinds such as horses, birds, dogs and cats. Once she has a stable income and knows she can provide for it, she plans to get a great number of animals for her own household.
