    Shimiko & Seid's Villa
    Spoiler:

The ride to Ota had been uneventful which was of course a good thing. Shimiko had stayed on guard for the whole ride. She didn't expect to be ambushed by Kiri on her way out but given the tenor of the negotiations, she did not plan on giving them an opening either. Once the ship arrived in Ota, she stepped off the boat and made her way to the villa that had been set aside from her. She loved to be spoiled, fed, and pampered like a princess even if she was a uber-lethal Jashinist Black Ops ninja. Tatsu-sama had hit all the right spots when she had visited Konoha in Raijin's form. It had left her with a remarkably good impression of him and it might have stayed her hand even if he did not give into her demands. Hana's offer was not nearly as sugarcoated but given how favorably things had gone for Kumo, Shimiko was willing to forgive the insult.

When she and Seid arrived at the villa, Shimiko smirked. Not bad...not bad at all... They had been placed in a luxury home, complete with multiple bedrooms, baths, outdoor pools, fully stocked kitchen and other incidentals and amenities. It was exactly the five star treatment that she had become accustomed to. Before they went in though, safety and security came first. Shimiko made two Shadow Clones and she instructed Seid to do the same. Before sitting foot on the property, the clones would zip through the house checking for bugs, traps, bombs, and other naughty toys. If Shimiko found anything of that nature then she'd march right back to the village and do what she had hoped she would not need to do.

ANBU were specially trained in securing areas and so it wouldn't take long to ensure that the structure was devoid of surveillance or assassination implements. Once this was done, the clones would go poof and Shimiko would enter the beautiful villa. It was important to note that because she was around Seid, she was far more professional and restrained than she might otherwise have been. She immediately sought out the best room in the house and claimed it for her own. From there, she'd jump on the bed (yes, in her armour) and test out the springs. It was comfy and warm, just the way she liked it.

Don't enjoy yourself too much Shimiko...you've got a job to do!

It appeared as though Hana was sincere in her attempt to assuage Kumo's fears. The opulence of the villa essentially serving as a bribe to the militant ambassadors. Shimiko plopped herself down on the bed and thought about the day's events.

Kirigakure didn't play hardball...at least not as hard as I was expecting. She was aware of her not bloody her blades were. The escort was the biggest sticking point and she had expected to have to fight them over it, but apparently the Mizukage was willing to do whatever she could to avoid going down for Kyoji's transgressions. This meant that if there was in fact someone trying to control Hana, that person either gratuitously underestimated her or this was all going according to their plan.

As she lay on the bed, Shimiko worked out how Kumo should proceed from here. Several scenarios and strategies unfolded in her mind as she considered what was said and who was around to here it. She noted the best outcomes and committed them to memory. Once this war-gamming was complete, she left her room and went to the kitchen. While normally she'd get out of her combat gear and relax, she was in enemy territory. It looked and felt like a vacation but it emphatically was not that. Shimiko would remain battle-ready at all times and that meant eating, sleeping, and even playing in her gear.

She looked in the fridge and found an assortment of ingredients. There were a number on the counter with a list of catering and personal chef services. Shimiko tossed it. She would examine the ingredients herself and then cook with them. By utilizing her superhuman senses she'd be able to ascertain whether anything was poisoned. It'd be a rather foolish decision on Kiri's part but desperation could make nations do foolish things. Shimiko cataloged what she had to work with and then came up with a menu. She wasn't aware of whether Darkseid could cook but she erred on the answer being no. If he did know how to cook it was probably food that could not be found on this planet. The man hadn't even tasted barbecue until she introduced it to him. She set her ingredients on the counter and finalized what she was going to make. The timing worked out perfectly. The food would be done cooking and they'd have a chance to eat and rest before the Mizukage's speech.

"Dinner will be ready in about an hour!" she called out to the Ōtsutsuki. The villa was pretty big so he could be anywhere. With her own announcement made, she'd begin cooking their dinner.
